Where is it?
Along the bottom of the car, from behind the front wheels to near the rear wheels.
What does it do?
Airflow and pressure beneath the floor create a force that presses the car towards the track. This force is called downforce.
What to watch in an update
Look at the floor edges and underside; the gap to the track also affects how they work. In 2026, a flatter floor replaces the previous generation’s deep underfloor tunnels. The floor still produces downforce.
